Vanessa works with growing businesses that need stronger financial direction but aren’t yet ready for a full-time Finance Director. She started her career at KPMG before moving into senior finance roles within FTSE 250 companies, where she saw first-hand how much clarity, structure, and commercial insight strong finance leadership can bring. But she also saw that many smaller, ambitious businesses didn’t have access to that level of support - and were often left making big decisions without clear financial visibility.

That’s what led her to set up E3 Financials. Today, Vanessa acts as an outsourced finance lead to owner-managed SMEs, consultants, and high-growth startups - bringing the kind of strategic thinking and financial oversight you’d expect from an in-house FD, but in a more flexible, hands-on way.

She works closely with founders to make sense of the numbers, improve cashflow, and plan confidently for growth. Whether it’s forecasting, reporting, or navigating key decisions and funding milestones, her focus is always the same: helping clients move forward with clarity and confidence.

Clients value her straightforward advice, responsiveness, and ability to explain complex financial issues in plain English. Vanessa is a First-Class Accounting and Finance graduate from the University of Leeds and an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. She also mentors future accountants and assesses professional exams.
